How INUKA protects procurement decisions from personal interests that could improperly influence, or reasonably appear to influence, professional judgment.

Employees, directors, representatives and suppliers.

1Purpose

To protect procurement decisions from personal interests that could improperly influence, or reasonably appear to influence, INUKA's professional judgment.

2What May Create a Conflict

  • Ownership or financial interest in a supplier, client or competing bidder.
  • Family, close personal or dependent relationship with a relevant decision-maker.
  • Personal commissions, gifts, loans, benefits or side agreements connected to a transaction.
  • Outside employment, directorship or advisory role involving a relevant party.
  • Use of confidential information for personal or third-party advantage.
  • Any situation where personal interest competes with INUKA's or the client's legitimate business interest.

3Duty to Disclose

Employees, directors, representatives and suppliers must promptly disclose relevant actual, potential or perceived conflicts before participating in the affected decision.

4Management Measures

  • Recusal from evaluation or approval.
  • Independent review.
  • Reassignment of responsibility.
  • Additional approval.
  • Documented controls or conditions.
  • Declining or terminating the transaction where the conflict cannot be appropriately managed.

5Gifts & Hospitality

Gifts or hospitality must never be solicited or accepted where they could influence, or appear to influence, procurement judgment.

6Recordkeeping

Conflict declarations and management decisions are retained as restricted records and linked to the relevant procurement reference where appropriate.
